BRAND SOUTH AFRICA AND 947 CELEBRATE SUCCESSFUL SCHOOLS INVASION PARTNERSHIP WITH PRASA DONATION

Brand South Africa, in partnership with 947 and the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA), proudly marked another milestone in their commitment to their Schools Outreach Programme through the 947 Schools Invasion initiative.

The collaboration culminated in a significant donation of twenty-five laptops to Heerengracht Primary School in Eldorado Park, ensuring a lasting impact on learners’ education. The laptops, originally secured in 2024, will officially be  handed over to the school. Each device will be used for further enhancing digital learning opportunities for the students in Eldorado Park.

“At PRASA, we recognise that investing in learners is key to building a skilled and future-ready workforce. By providing these laptops, our goal is to ensure that learners have access to digital tools and that every child, regardless of background, has the resources and support needed to thrive in the modern economy. We are not only empowering young people but also bridging the digital divide that often limits opportunities,” said Naledi Modibedi, PRASA’s Group Head for Human Capital.

This collaboration is about more than just a donation it is about creating a sustainable impact and empowering learners with tools that support their education. We are proud to have continued our partnership with 947 and PRASA, reinforcing the spirit of nation-building through education, said Ms. Thoko Modise – Brand South Africa’s Head of communications.

“As a school, we are truly grateful for the donation that both Brand South Africa and PRASA made. It will go a long way in helping us empowering our kids. The world is going digital, and these laptops will get us closer in ensuring that our children are ready for that. The onus is also on us as educators to ensure that we safeguard these laptops and help our learners as well, said Eden Daniels, Heerengracht Primary School Principal.

Brand South Africa expresses gratitude to all partners and stakeholders who made this initiative a success, as we collectively work towards shaping a brighter future for South Africas youth, concluded Modise.
